A Hard Drive crash is not a matter of if but a matter of when. Hard Drives are mechanical and will wear out and fail, it only a matter of time. Hard Drives fail early and unexpectedly or can live a full life of 3 to 5 years, unfortunately you usually can't tell in advance when a Hard Drive will fail. If your Hard Drive does fail the best thing to do is to turn off the PC to prevent any further damage especially if the drive is making any unusual noises.
The Recovery Process
- Turn Off the Computer
- Call us to make arrangements to get the Hard Drive to our Repair Center
- Once we determine what is recoverable we will contact you
- Pay only if the data can be recovered
Data recovery can be a complicated and time consuming process but it does not have to be expensive. Our recovery rates start around $100 and usually don't exceed $300. Are your data files and pictures worth that? Again, you only pay if the data can be recovered.
Once the data is recovered we can copy it to another internal or external Hard Drive or we can burn it on to DVD for you.
We can Recover Data from the following Hardware:
- IDE for PC and Laptop Drives
- SATA for PC and Laptop Drives
- SCSI
- SAS
- CD ROMs and DVDs
- Flash Drives and Memory Sticks
We can Recover Data from the following Software Platforms:
- Fat 16
- Fat 32
- NTFS
- RAID and Spanned Arrays
- All Microsoft Windows and Server Operating System Versions
The best solution for data recovery is a good backup. Backups are easy and can be done through a local device such as an external Hard Drive or backups can be done remotely through the internet. If you have a server you absolutely need a backup and an emergency recovery plan, if you don't have one let us help you put one in place. Think of a backup as an insurance policy, you don't think you need it until it's too late. |
